Required Manual Entries:
Drivers must manually complete the chart details. Before driving, you must record your name, start location, start date, vehicle registration number, and opening odometer reading. At the end of the shift, the finishing location, end date, and closing odometer reading must be added.

Compliance, Handling, and Retention:

• • Roadside Inspections: Drivers must carry their chart for the current day and the preceding 28 calendar days.
  • Vehicle Changes: If a vehicle is swapped during a shift, the new vehicle details must be noted on the back of the chart.
  • Data Retrieval: All completed charts must be returned to the employer, typically within 42 days.
